Hello!

Hi everybody my name is Ceri Davies. I am 31 years old, I have Cerebral Palsy, Tethered Cord Syndrome and Scoliosis.  I believe in Equality of Opportunity as well as the social model of disability. I passionately believe that society should be adapted to enable disabled people to live happy and fulfilled lives. I am well known by close family and friends for when I am not happy with something, even though I cannot do it myself politely asserting what I wish to change, particularly when it comes to my own care and the personalisation agenda. On Saturday 10th October it was announced that I was nominated and have won a Queen's Honour British Empire Medal, I am over the moon it almost feels surreal. It is for 11 years of service to disabled, disadvantaged and life limited children and families. I would like to say a huge thank you to my nominators, I am eternally grateful that they put me forward. I hope it helps me support more children and young people in Dudley and the wider West Midlands.

Happy International Women's Day! Every Woman on this planet inspires me, particularly my Mom and female friends and family. The lady in this picture is Justice Williams (MBE), she is thoughtful, caring and one of the best women entrepreneurs I have met. All women please celebrate your creativity and everything you give to the world.Happy International Women's Day!
